Fitset Ninja is a ninja training facility that offers ninja obstacle course racing, tricking and parkour programming. We have locations in both Edmonton and Calgary, AB. Our vision is to bring our movement training mainstream, with locations across Canada.

On weekends, Fitset Ninja offers a variety of programming including Open Gym sessions and parties. Open Gym sessions are “free time” for guests to come explore our facility, with coaches available to provide tips and basic instruction. Parties are available for birthdays and other events. These come with a designated party coach who helps arrange mini-competitions and courses specifically for party guests.

**Position Summary**

We are looking for enthusiastic Weekend Operations Coaches to support our Open Gym and party bookings. Weekend Operations Coaches are instrumental in delivering the highest level of fun and quality programming in a safe manner.

**Roles & Responsibilities**

Party Coach
- Ensure party areas are prepped for upcoming groups
- Escort the guests to their designated party room
- Conduct group headcounts
- Supervise the guests from start of the birthday party to the end of the birthday party
- Provide a fun and interactive experience to the guests, taking them through the obstacles of the gym in a safe and orderly manner
- Create challenges and engage with the guests while on the floor
- Ensure participants are having fun
- Provide examples and demonstrations of the obstacles
- Continually check in with parents to ensure that they have everything that they need
- Provide a 15 & 5 min reminder to the host of the birthday party to ensure they are aware to clear out once their time slot is finished to allow clean up and operations of the next birthday party
- Remind parents about classes, 50% off Open Gym for the party kids that day, Camps and any other ongoing promotions
- Mention to party hosts to fill out a review for their party to receive a free Open Gym pass
- Clean and tidy the party room for the next party

Open Gym Coach
- Prepare the gym for Open Gym by ensuring that each area has fun and interactive obstacles
- Check obstacles for safety
- Tidy up equipment not being utilized
- Provide an Open Gym orientation to ALL new guests and athletes that have not been at the gym in a few months. Orientation must include an explanation of the obstacles in each area of the gym, safety tips and the Open Gym rules.
- Engage and offer challenges/regressions to the guests
- Interact with all guests and offer demonstrations of the obstacles
- Help build stations and obstacles
- Inspire the guests with ninja skills demonstrations
- Refer participants to our training team and provide instruction on how to register
- Ensuring the obstacles stay organized and safe for athletes
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment to all guests
- Ensure all athletes under the age of 12 are accompanied by an adult
- Ensure that there are no children under the age of 5 on the course or using the obstacles

Facility Maintenance
- Ensure all closing duties and lock up requirements are completed on a daily basis, including Gym Reset
- Refer to Deep Clean List during slow weekend hours
- Conduct constant safety scans/checks of the obstacles and stations
- Ensure participants are following the gym rules and playing safe

**Qualifications**
- Prior experience working with children & youth
- Ability to work weekends on a recurring weekly basis
- Valid Standard First Aid / CPR-C required within three months of hire date
- Completed and cleared Police Record check with Vulnerable Sector Search completed prior to start date
- Completion of the Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders Certificate within one month of hire date
