Reporting to the Development Manager, the Animation Development Intern will help support in the day-to-day operations of the Development team.

**Responsibilities**
- Support the Manager of Development with reviewing, tracking and providing clear communication and feedback on the diverse slate of original IP and partnership opportunities that come into WildBrain for consideration
- Create competitive sets (overview of shows in a similar space) for shows on the development slate
- Research new industry talent such as writers, directors, and producers
- Maintain and monitor submissions trackers and reading assignments
- Manage storage of submissions and samples
- Prepare agendas, decks and presentations for internal meetings
- Liaise and coordinate with Executive Assistants and coordinators across the development, distribution, channel and sales teams
- Schedule meetings, as needed, for the development team

**Qualifications**
- Passion for animation and kids’ television, with a desire to develop a career within the industry
- Ability to excel in a high pressure, deadline-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Must be a self starter who takes initiative
