Scheller Metal Fabricators Ltd. Is a Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Hydrovac and Vacuum Truck Manufacturer and Distributor. With a strong and growing demand for Hydro Excavation Equipment, we’re looking to expand our team of highly skilled Machine operators.

In this position, you will be responsible for Saw cutting, machining, and drilling. Scheller Metal Fabricators Ltd. is specializing in the fabrication of Vacuum Equipment; including Septic Trucks, Industrial Vacuum Trucks, and heavy-duty Hydrovac Trucks.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Previous machine operation or similar, relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Understand production and plant processes.
- Must possess basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, and conversions of fractions and decimals.
- Forklift and Overhead Crane experience required

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Set up, calibrate, and maintain machinery and machine tools.
- Align and place tools, cutters, guides, and stops correctly in the machine.
- Operate machinery and equipment including saw, conventional Lathe, Drill press, Ironworker, and power hand tools, according to instructions.
- Verify dimensions of parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers.).
- Adjust machinery settings when necessary to improve performance.
- Perform quality checks, follow reporting procedures, and report problems to the manager.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.

- Capable of performing physical job requirements with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and consistently reach, bend, stand and climb.
- Reliable, punctual, and positive team player who is detail-oriented, adaptable, open-minded, enthusiastic, takes initiative and has strong organizational and time management skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
