Social & Digital Media Specialist

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Create and share engaging content on social media channels that reinforce Lakeland’s brand messaging.
- Help create and implement Lakeland College’s social media strategy and assist with social media strategies involving other Lakeland stakeholders such as students and academic schools to increase Lakeland’s reach among various audiences.
- Work closely with members of the marketing and communications team to create visual storytelling tools, including videos and photographs that will be used for communication, recruitment and retention purposes, and to strengthen Lakeland’s profile.
- Use Lakeland’s customer relationship management system to share content with various audiences.
- Monitor the latest trends in social media.
- Develop and upload digital content to Lakeland’s website and mobile app as needed.
- Generate monthly and annual analytic report for social media platforms.
**Job Requirements**:
- Diploma in a related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience in social media content creation, digital marketing or other marketing/communications background, web communications or design.
- Adept working with all social media platforms, understands audiences and is interested in new trends and tactics. Is an early adopter of new social media platforms.
- Loves to tell stories through visual mediums and has some experience in filming, scripting and editing for desktop and mobile devices.
- Strong writing skills.
- Ability to use a variety of design programs including Adobe’s Creative Suite.
- Experience using web content management systems and customer relationship management systems an asset.
- Must be flexible and able to handle multiple projects at once.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service and analytical skills are a must, as well as organizational and self-initiative.
- Should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be able to meet deadlines.
- Some weekend and evening work is required.
**Additional Information**:
This is a Full-time Permanent AUPE appointment on the Vermilion campus commencing as soon as possible. The current salary range is $49,457 - $62,323 per annum and includes a generous benefit package and pension plan.
