Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our team at Preet Ravi Petroleum LTD. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of our retail store, including managing staff, controlling daily operations, and evaluating store performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and Control Daily Operations: Ensure the smooth operation of the store, including managing staff, inventory, and customer service.
- Evaluate Daily Operations: Analyze store performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement plans to achieve business objectives, including setting goals, prioritizing tasks, and allocating resources.
- Manage Staff and Assign Duties: Supervise and train staff, assign tasks, and evaluate performance to ensure the store is running efficiently.
- Determine Merchandise and Services to be Sold: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and business objectives to determine the types of merchandise and services to be sold in the store.
- Implement Price and Credits Policies: Develop and implement pricing strategies, including setting prices, managing promotions, and implementing credit policies.
- Locate, Select, and Procure Merchandise for Resale: Source and purchase merchandise, including negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Create and execute marketing plans to attract and retain customers, including social media, advertising, and in-store promotions.
- Determine Staffing Requirements: Analyze store performance, customer traffic, and business objectives to determine staffing needs.
- Resolve Issues that May Arise: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may impact store operations.
- Recruit, Hire, and Supervise Staff: Attract, select, and train staff, including conducting interviews, evaluating performance, and providing feedback.
- Oversee Payroll Administration: Manage payroll, including processing pay, benefits, and other employee-related tasks.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, and develop plans to improve performance.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
- Language: English.
- Work Setting: Retail business.
- Participates in a Government or Community Program: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
- Assists with Immediate Settlement Needs: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
- Supports Social and Labour Market Integration: Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
- Recruits Newcomers and Refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
- Supports Foreign Credential Recognition: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Offers Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Provides Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Does Not Require Canadian Work Experience: Does not require Canadian work experience.
- Participates in a Government or Community Program: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
- Offers Mentorship, Coaching, and/or Networking Opportunities: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Develops and Maintains Relationships: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
- Provides Cultural Competency Training: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Facilitates Access to Elders: Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Participates in a Government or Community Program: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities.
- Applies Hiring Policies: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
- Offers Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
- Provides Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
