**PROJECT COORDINATOR / DRAFTSPERSON POSITION**

**Grant-Marion Construction Ltd** is a well-established construction company, founded in 1971. It specializes in residential, commercial, institutional and industrial projects. We are currently seeking to hire a full-time Project Coordinator / Draftsperson with a passion for construction to join our growing team.

**EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**
- College diploma in a Construction / Engineering related field
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Knowledge and proficiency in AutoCad (or equiv. Drafting Software) is required.
- Basic knowledge of surveying for construction layout and setting grades.
- Able to work alone and / or as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment and materials
- Basic knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
- Experience in the construction industry considered an asset.
- Willingness to learn, highly motivated, reliability & honesty.
- Valid G-License with clean driving abstract
- Bilingual in both English and French is an asset.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**OFFICE WORK**:

- DRAWINGS:

- Prepare site plans in CAD for the project teams.
- Prepare, review and modify construction drawings.
- PROJECT EXECUTION
- Perform material take-offs / assist Project Managers with estimates.
- Tag Team with Project Managers to fully understand project requirements and specs
- Administer and manage project locates.
- HEALTH & SAFETY
- After receiving appropriate Training, you will become the Company’s HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER.
- Insure our employees have all required Safety Training & periodic refresher courses.

**FIELD WORK**:

- Conduct field surveys and operate survey equipment.
- Layout out foundations using surveying equipment.
- Accurately record, organize, and store survey measurements, deviations from plan and any other pertinent information as required by the project team
- Field inspections, as required, to assist Project Managers
- Field inspections, to audit our Field Staff’s Safety Practices

**Salary**: From $28.00 per hour
