**Planning Supervisor - Horizon Mine Maintenance**

**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and Reliability, The Planning Supervisor will lead a team of Maintenance Planners, Schedulers and Coordinators in supporting day-to-day maintenance and long term planning for major outages. This role will work closely with reliability and maintenance execution to plan and schedule all maintenance activities.

Success of maintenance planning and scheduling functions will be measured by rigorously tracking and reviewing appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). Using this information the Planning Supervisor will provide feedback and guidance to entire Mine Maintenance department to help drive continuous improvement.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Develop the yearly maintenance schedule for PM and components, prepare and modify weekly, quarterly and annual outage schedules
- Oversee the Planning team as they develop and forecast PM and break-in initiatives of the maintenance equipment within the Mine Maintenance Schedule
- Coach, mentor and develop the Planning team in addition to maintaining succession and planning initiatives in support of the recruitment process
- Provide input to create and work within the monthly and yearly Opex/Capex budgets
- Track and update component hours and create reports as required
- Work with the Reliability team to assess and adjust benchmarks as necessary
- Lead various meetings for Planning/Scheduling/Outages on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Develop 4DX goals and lead weekly meetings with team members
- Meet and liaise with vendors to discuss products, warranties and performance
- Work with supply chain for new equipment purchases and parts procurement

**Other Details**:

- Job location: Fort McMurray, Alberta - Horizon Oil Sands site
- Shift schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off - Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per shift
- Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Regular Policy
- Company sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out from Calgary or Edmonton

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of related industry experience
- Engineering degree would be an asset
- Familiarity and understanding of:

- Heavy equipment design, manufacturing and/or maintenance
- Working in an industrial environment such as mining or oil and gas
- Administration of commercial contracts
- Maintenance planning and scheduling for mining equipment
- Budgeting and cost-forecasting for the maintenance of mobile mining equipment
