_**Restoration Estimator**_

We're currently seeking a full-time Estimator. This role will be based in Scarborough and involve daily travel across the GTA.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Handle emergency insurance loss claims, repairs and projects up to 2 million dollars.
- Develop and design comprehensive plans and schedules.
- Establish effective on-site communication channels and progress updates with subcontractors and clients.
- Conduct regular site inspections at various project stages—pre, during, and post-restoration—to ensure adherence to approved estimates.
- Create and maintain precise and timely documentation and reports.
- Interpret and comprehend construction blueprints and specifications proficiently.
- Proactively address all inquiries, concerns, or complaints from insured individuals/clients, swiftly resolving any issues.
- Engage in an on-call rotation as required.
- Verify deductibles and secure payment before commencing repairs; coordinate progress payments for significant projects as directed by management.
- Prepare estimates and repair scopes accurately and punctually.
- Manage budgeting and scheduling aspects of projects.
- Guarantee strict adherence to all health and safety protocols.
- Other duties as required

**REQUIREMENTS**
- 3-5 years of work experience within the Insurance sector is a must
- Strong construction knowledge and experience with estimating/project coordination
- IICRC certifications strongly preferred
- Minimum 2-years experience using Xactimate
- Ability to work effectively and accurately in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- A dedicated work ethic paired with keen attention to detail
- Mandatory basic security clearance and a clean criminal records check
- Valid driver's license required

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M1P 3E6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Estimating: 3 years (required)
- Xactimate: 2 years (required)

Work Location: In person
