What you’ll do
The Quality Inspector reviews inbound materials and identifies areas of improvement for existing products. This role is based within our head office in Vancouver, BC, and is hands-on with product inspection. It is a combination of some physical and office-related work interacting and communicating with our engineers, purchasing team, and production team.
Monitor, inspects, and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production team lead.
Monitor various stages of inspection processing along with the appropriate paperwork, ensuring compliance with specifications.
Read drawings and instructions to ensure quality expectations for all the products and parts.
Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs. Summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.
Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements.
Recommends product improvements and changes to the production processes to improve Quality.
Educating the production team on quality control processes, issues, and product quality standards.
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Who you are
Experience with Metrology, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is preferred.
Quality Inspector Certification (CQI) is an asset.
Understand mechanical and electronic measurement, inspection and testing.
Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Problem-solving mentally and results-driven approach.
Efficient organizational skills, including managing multiple processes and priorities effectively.
Excellent verbal communication, technical writing and interpersonal skills.
Integrity and resilience under pressure.
Understand the importance of details and work with minimum supervision
