We are looking for **2-year Term** **Therapeutic Court Navigator** to join our team in our **Saskatoon City** **Area Office**. **Under the supervision and direction of the Legal Director, works with lawyers to support clients who are in the Mental Health and Domestic Violence Courts in Saskatoon, as well as other courts as identified by the Legal Director.** **It is a great opportunity for individuals who wants to be part of a collegial team that promotes a collaborative and respectful working environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Create a case plan for each client in Mental Health Court and support and monitor the progress of the participant to completion of the case plan. Ongoing consultation and regular communication with the client, service providers and stakeholders in Mental Health Court is required. The stakeholders include probation, the FASD Network, Community Mental Health Nurses, social workers and other outside agencies is required.
- Understand the participant plan created by Probations for each client in Domestic Violence Court and support the client to successful completion of the participant plan. If the client has not qualified for the Domestic Violence Program provided in Domestic Violence Court, create a case plan for the participant and monitor and support the participant to successful completion of the case plan. Regular communication and consultation with the client and program providers and stakeholders is required.
- Participate in pre-court meetings with the Court.
- Be the first point of contact for clients and their families.
- Explain the Mental Health Court and the Domestic Violence court and program processes to clients and their families.
- Attend and support clients at regular court appearances.
- Assist and support client success in obtaining and maintaining connections to community programs and resources. This includes assisting the client with registering for programs and assisting with logistics to ensure attendance.
- Other duties as required to ensure the successful completion of the program by the client.
- Track information related to identified metrics to demonstrate the success of the program.
- Provide support in Family Services Court as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

**Position Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in social work / Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from an accredited University or equivalent skills and experience in social services and justice work;
- Excellent interpersonal abilities;
- Trauma-informed training;
- Ability to work independently under time constraints;
- Ability to exercise and explain judgement in complex case management scenarios;
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities;
- Ability to use computers and software programs for databases, spreadsheets and word processing;
- Experience in the justice system is preferred but not required.
