**The Company**:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, fun, and passionate individual to join our Finance team as a **Controller**.
**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director, Finance the Controller will be responsible for the following:
- Develop monthly financial statements in accordance with ASPE;
- Be the go-to person for the Finance team to aid their development and growth to achieve the company's goals;
- Deploy and create enhancements to the ERP system for all functions working closely with the management team (purchasing, sales, warehousing, etc);
- Train different functions of the organization in the EPR system, promoting best practices and effective use;
- Assist the Director on operational strategy and roll out plans;
- Support the CFO in bank reporting requirements;
- Oversight and accuracy of reconciliations, and general inquiries;
- Conduct frequent financial reviews of sub-functions of the organization and provide recommendations to management;
- Review and reconcile GL accounts;
- Investigate discrepancies;
- Communication and preparation of documents for audits;
- Develop and ensure compliance with controls;
- Weekly reporting for sales margins and other various reports;
- Daily reporting and analysis of daily sales; and
- Other duties as assigned.
- University Degree (preferably Business) and financial designation required, with preference given to a CPA or CMA;
- Minimum 2+ years of Accounting experience at a senior associate level within a firm or as a senior analyst in industry is required;
- Sage x3 or other Sage ERP experience is an asset;
- Must possess excellent analytical skills, with a high attention to detail and focus on accuracy;
- Previous experience with ERP, POS systems, and retail operations is an asset;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and share this knowledge with others;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills; and
- Must be fluent in English, spoken and written.
