**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Interpret financial data to assist in operational decision-making.
- Preparing and consolidating financial statements and reports.
- Assisting with the development and evaluation of budgets and reports.
- Supporting the formulation and implementation of control systems within the organization.
- Reviewing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling accounts.
- Supporting the accounting department with all aspects of the general ledger.
- Ensuring strict compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Preparing and managing accounts using various software programs.
- Preparing and assisting with audits.
**Requirements**:
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related field of study
- Progressive experience as an accountant, assistant controller, or in a similar role.
- Professional certification as CPA is preferred.
- Experienced with financial system conversions
- Excellent understanding of GAAP and relevant financial accounting regulations.
- Expertise multi-entity operational structure and corporate amalgamations an asset
- Experience in MS Dynamics AX, Advanced Excel and SharePoint
**Salary**: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
