**LEGO Alternative Program Co-ordinator**

**Position Date: January 23, 2023- April 7, 2023**
- January 30, 2023 until February 10, 2023 sleeping in camp with the students.
- Experience working with youth aged 16-21.
- A class 2 driver’s license and experience driving a bus or an ability to gain a class 2 license and drive a school bus, with a clean driving record.
- Current CPR and Emergency First Aid certification is an asset.
- An ability to provide their own transportation to and from work.
- An ability to work during the evenings, days and overnight.
- An ability to assist participants with meal preparation and housekeeping.
- Excellent teamwork, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
- Previous program coordinator experience required and for how long.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Organizing and implementing work experience sessions in the Winnipeg, Interlake area.
- Supervising a two-week international work experience component.
- Transporting participants to their work experience placements.
- Mentoring participants on a day-to-day basis while they are at their work experience placements.
- Communicating with co-operating employers.
- Ensuring that program goals are met.
- Mentoring participants towards independent living through role modeling while staying at the same camp facility overnight.
- Ensuring that participants are following School Division, camp, and employer policies.
- Providing the site supervisor with support and guiding evening programming,
- Creating a positive group atmosphere and resolving conflict.
- Planning, budgeting, and preparing meals with participants.
