The Camp Assistant Program Coordinator will provide leadership in the daily activities of our day camp program, ensuring that children are included in all activities.

35 hours per week 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Mon-Fri May 29 – August 16, 2024

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists with advertising and promotion of the camp program Assists with staff training week Assists with camp clean-up at the end of camp Assists day camp program coordinator with report logs regarding: attendance sheets and receipts log for grant reports Supports external reporting requests as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications:

Must be a high school graduate with at least one year of post-secondary education (an alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable) Clear and current Criminal Police Investigation Check (CPIC) and Child/Adult Abuse Registry Check First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to attain

Experience:

Prior experience planning programs and supervising children is required

Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:

Excellent time management skills including the ability to effectively handle competing priorities and emerging demands Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and co-workers Ability to treat information in a confidential manner Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
