The District Sales Manager is an individual who has the key skills to communicate a vision, set expectations, objectives, and coach/develop sales resources. This position will require building and maintaining a network of colleagues, partners, and customers to share information and obtain prospects, managing both large enterprise commercial and government clients. Winning new customers and expanding current customers is critical to the role.

Responsibilities
- Lead the team by initiating, managing, and closing significant opportunities in both established large accounts and new customers. Winning new customers is paramount to the long-term success of Lexmark.
- Passionate leader who motivates and engages their team to drive best in class performance.
- Drive strategic sales approach with longer sales cycles.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key decision makers by partnering with them and understanding their needs. (Director, VP, and C-Level clients across Procurement, IT, and Lines of Business.)
- Effectively communicate Lexmark’s value proposition, concisely articulating how Lexmark technology, software, services, and industry-specific solutions differentiate us from the competition.
- Develop solid business cases that link the customer’s objectives to Lexmark’s unique capabilities and profit goals.
- Proactively engage with every member of the region (including but not limited to observing, assisting, coaching, researching, prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, and driving metrics such as in-person meetings).
- Oversee the setting of objectives, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives, driving a high-performance sales team. Recognize and act on the need for continuous improvement to elevate the team to world-class standards.
- Leverage PowerBi reporting to track and analyze sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
- Set sales quotas and goals for the sales team and work to meet and exceed the goals.
- Proficiently use CRM software to manage customer relationships and data (with a high level of data integrity).
- Deliver high quality request for proposal (RFP) responses.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of front-line sales management experience.
- 5+ years of technology sales experience preferred.
- Proven record of developing tactics and innovation with sales management practices that drive results.
- Experience leading formal presentations, beginning with pre-meeting preparation and presentation creation, and can provide specific examples of these experiences.
- A demonstrated ability to lead by example with a results focus and consistent Activity-Based Management sales methodology.
- Ability to travel in Canada as well as when required to the United States.
- Workflow, and or Solutions Sales experience.
- Proficient in using Office 365.

Degree from an accredited university.
