A career in International market events team in the Financial Markets Operations sector at National Bank means putting your expertise to work in the evolution and execution of business strategy of Financial Markets and Wealth Management. Thanks to your involvement in the various related processes to Tax Reclaim, you participate in the transformation of the Bank.

**Your role**:

- Perform analysis and processing of international tax reclaims while respecting deadlines, procedures, standards, policies and various exceptions
- Produce various reports and statistics and ensure data integrity
- Process to tax refunds received by payment in clients’ accounts and document work procedures
- Interact with various sectors of the Bank, with our external partners and professionals
- Provide timely information useful for decision-making and risk management by offering technical support
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of new systems, tools and work processes, and in the improvement of those in place

Claiming taxes on international income (ex: dividends) is necessary since foreign countries generally withhold more tax than their treaty with Canada indicates. The position requires basic knowledge of international taxation.

**Your team**:
Join a dynamic team of 14 dynamic analysts that want to have a leading impact on the success of the Bank and Financial Markets through operational expertise and sound risk management. This position reports to the Director of the International and Ongoing Market Events team.

Your integration consists of training based on learning in action to allow you to master your business, our products and our technologies. You have access to your colleagues with different expertise, experiences and diversified profiles that enrich your development from all points of view.

**Prerequisites**:

- Three-year college or university degree or academic equivalent, related to the sector of activity and three years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of securities and various financial products
- Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Initiative, organization, speed, and precision
- Experience related to securities operations, desirable
- Experience in the field of taxation, desirable
- Knowledge of ISM, AS400, AvisTr, STC, Global Plus desirable

**Languages**:

- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will frequently interact with service providers or partners who speak a language other than French
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will frequently serve clients who speak a language other than French
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will collaborate with a regulator, authority, government body or other entity outside Quebec
