**Role Summary**:
Do you love pets? Do you love accounting? Are you a top-performing AP Specialist/Bookkeeper with an entrepreneurial spirit? This is an exciting opportunity for an entry-level Finance professional to support our seasoned Finance team for a **6-month contract, starting as soon as possible. **You will be joining a team of well-rounded finance professionals committed to helping you further develop your skill-set and excited to see you demonstrate the areas you already excel in.

This role is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a start-up environment. Your days will be fast-paced and filled with ever-evolving challenges (and pooches)

**What your day-to-day will look like**:
**Accounts Payable**
- Review and ensure accuracy of vendor invoices.
- Agree vendor invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Record vendor invoices using appropriate classification.
- Send payment remittance details to vendors.
- Complete new vendor set up procedures.

**Accounts Receivable**
- Issue credit memos to customers.
- Complete new customer set up as required.

**Month-End**
- Prepare month-end schedules and associated journal entries including Prepaid Expenses.
- Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Complete Amazon workbooks and associated journal entries.

**Other Duties**
- Review and process employee expense reports.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation.
- Other administrative duties as required to support a growing business.

**What You Bring**:

- Accounting diploma, and/or 2+ years of bookkeeping and/or AP experience.
- Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and further develop accounting principles.
- Positive and collaborative attitude and approach.
