MacEwan University invites applicants for a full-time continuing Academic Advisor opportunity with our Faculty of Arts and Science. Reporting to the Associate Dean, Operations, you will support both the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BSc), programs, helping students in pursuing academic success at MacEwan University.

Key responsibilities include:

- Communicating the comprehensive knowledge regarding the BA degree and the BSc degree, as well as relevant MacEwan University policies and procedures;
- Developing information resources and processes and facilitating activities supporting student recruitment and student success and retention;
- Facilitating activities supporting student recruitment, success and retention;
- Providing information, advising, and support to students and parents/guardians, faculty, staff, and external contacts;
- Providing sensitive academic guidance to students faced with emotional situations; and
- Performing various administrative duties in support of the student engagement functions and acting as a resource for other programs and departments within the University.

- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task;
- The ability to work independently and develop and maintain effective working relationships;
- Strong presentation skills;

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a post-secondary institution working with students.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
