Business System Analyst - Intermediate

As the consolidation point for all business intelligence and business analytics functions across ICBC, the Information

Management team's goal is to empower the organization to drive efficiencies and savings across all facets of the business. This

is accomplished by providing internal and external customers with precision reporting, query and analysis, statistical, descriptive

analysis, and performance measurement (dashboards, scorecards and indicators).

The Business System Analyst will join the Information Management Data Management & Operations team which support

multiple business areas by working closely with business stakeholders. They would be analyzing the current systems to identify

excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Position Requirements

To make an immediate contribution, you will have the following:

- Proven work experience as a business or functional analyst working closely with business users.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with multiple systems or tools like ETL, Reporting and Database.
- Demonstrated ability to do data profiling with large and complex datasets.
- Proficiency in developing complex SQL for data analysis.
- Ability to work effectively with a team or independently, as well as lead small teams as needed.
- Ability to effectively plan and prioritize and complete multiple concurrent tasks in an environment of changing deadlines,

priorities and requirements.
- Experience and good understanding of Agile Methodologies.
- Knowledge of Claims, Insurance or Actuarial business domain is a plus.
- Experience with Data Modeling, Big Data, JIRA would be an asset.

- Employing a hybrid-working model, this role combines on-site in office work with work from home flexibility.
