**Location** - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person. On site work takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.

**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Assistant Director Operations (ADO), the Project Coordinator will work closely with the ADO and support communications work/projects/events and activities across the Institute, as well as support administrative duties involved with conferences/events/and projects.

**Duties**
- Provide support for the organization of conferences, webinars and in-person events at CIUS:

- Assist with events' planning, including venue bookings, hotel reservations, travel arrangements, and other related tasks.
- Assist with organizing the technical aspects of events and webinars.
- Assist with preparation of wire transfers, arranging honoraria, processing invoices, and drafting contracts.
- Support the communications needs of the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, including (but not limited to) content preparation and development/design for the webpage and social media, social media planning & posting, communication liaising, design work, promotion of events, and internal intranet management and staff newsletter.
- Support with annual report content gathering, tracking and development for Annual report, Arts report and Ohliad (annual review/newsletter); implement new processes developed by the communications group.
- Support with community outreach activities (assist with the development of community pop-up displays/book sales/volunteer recruitment).
- Assist with writing donor correspondence and developing a stewardship process within CIUS. Assist with other administrative-related tasks, including - but not limited to
- PC card reconciliation and travel expense reports for CIUS management, as well as other activites related to communications and research.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Completed degree in Bachelor of Arts, or equivalent experience in communications, marketing and/or events planning.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (fluency in Ukrainian as well would be an asset).
- Experience with social media platforms, content development, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of design apps and tools for creating social media posts, and posters (Adobe, InDesign, Canva)
