**Responsibilities**:
As a member of the multi-disciplinary assessment and brief intervention team at Child Development Clinic and under the general direction of the Supervisor of CDC, the Early Child Development Facilitator receives referrals from Developmental Pediatricians. Works in a manner consistent with Rehabilitation Centre for Children’s Values, Mission, and Mandate.
- Conducts child behavior observations, brief interventions, and parent education, related to children with Autism or other developmental or behavioral challenges. Child observations, brief intervention or parent education may take place in the home, childcare setting, SSCY Centre or remotely.
- Capacity to work in a family centred, strength-based and culturally safe manner.
- Summary reports are completed in a timely manner, using a structured format, within the Electronic Medical Record.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the multi-disciplinary service delivery team that provides efficient and effective clinical service to children and families.

**Education, Licenses, Registration & Experience**:

- **Required**_
- Bachelor’s level degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Educator III, Developmental Psychology or Child and Family Studies. An equivalent combination of education and experience as recognized by the Centre may be considered.
- Minimum three years’ experience working with pre-school children and families.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development and child behaviour management techniques.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness and availability to travel and providing Play Matters Services in First Nations Communities.
- Ability to work in a family centred and culturally safe manner.
- **Preferred**_
- Previous experience working with children experiencing developmental delays, behavior difficulties and autism.
- Knowledge of/training in DIR Floor time and/or Triple P parenting strategies
- Experience developing and delivering group presentations.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle during work hours.

**Hours of Work**:7.5 per day which may include some evening and weekend work when needed.

**Salary**: $26.483- $34.130 per hour as per MAHCP salary scale.

**Conditions of hire**:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to present a satisfactory Criminal Records Check (Including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
