We're looking for a **Branch Manager **for our **Edmonton office.**

**The Environment**

Our clients tell us they prefer working with a dedicated individual to help them manage their risk - and our brokers prefer to manage a dedicated book of business.

Technology backs up our sales and service model with the ability to transfers calls between offices, as well as cloud based insurance platforms, VOIP phones, and a dedicated client app and portal.

Direct-Line provides market access to strong regional and national insurers, along with a variety of specialty insurers for those harder to place risks.

Brokers and Managers are paid competitive salaries, with bonus opportunities paid monthly on New Business and Retention. A yearly STIP incentive program includes individual goals and a profit sharing component.

**The Position**

Using your strong interpersonal and communication skills, you will lead a team of 4 - 6 insurance brokers, and liaise with the Administration Manager to oversee a branch of 10 people.

You are a strong and competent leader who knows how and when to hold your team members accountable and when to coach and mentor - specifically on reach sales goals with a strong focus on front line underwriting.

Additionally you will manage a mixed book of business including personal and commercial lines files, demonstrating superior skills in client management, sales and retention, and time management.

Your goals will include growing the branches book of business and adding new brokers to the office upon achieving growth goals.

Reporting directly to senior management, this is an opportunity to develop your strategic planning, measuring and reporting skills.

**Skills & Experience**

8 - 10 years personal and commercial lines experience

Ideally 5 plus years managing sales and service insurance brokers

Proven and demonstrable success in direct sales and in sales leadership

Level 2 Insurance License

CAIB Designation or CIP and/or a Post Secondary Degree or Diploma

Superior Customer Service & Sales Skills

Exceptional Prospecting, Presenting, and Closing Skills

Strong Risk Management Skills

Ability to work in a team and contribute individually

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook

Current Criminal Record Check

Alberta Driver's License & Reliable Vehicle

Experience with TAM (The Agency Manager) and Applied Rating is an asset
