The incumbent will work remotely until May 31st 2023. From then on, the incumbent will move to a hybrid model consisting of remote work and 37.5 hours per month on site. Note that remote work must be performed in Canada.

The OAG employs approximately 700 people at its head office in Ottawa and regional offices in Vancouver, Edmonton, Montréal, and Halifax. **About this job**

As the Report Production Specialist, you will:

- Plans and implements operational policies, processes, quality control methodologies, performance measurement criteria, tools and systems governing the project management of a wide variety of assigned production projects, ensuring compliance with standards, quality and policy frameworks.
- Analyzes requirements of assigned projects. Initiates research of factors impacting project delivery, including production requirements, inter-dependencies, internal pressures and constraints on clients and service providers. Based on research, develops plans and complex production schedules appropriate to the project. Works collaboratively with Editorial Supervisors to coordinate the delivery of editorial assignments to in-house and contract editors
- As a recognized lead on assigned complex production project(s), builds and maintains effective working relationships with clients (e.g., Managers from Audit and Services Groups) and internal and external service providers (e.g., Editors, Translation Bureau, Desktop Publishing, Graphic Design, printing firms). Acts as the official liaison to define business needs, timelines, develop and obtain approval on the project plan, and ensure common understanding by all parties.
- Coordinates the report production process through the production stages of editing, translation, revision, desktop publishing, graphic design, printing, web publishing and quality control processes. Maintains project data in production management systems and monitors project progress. Identifies problematic issues and is the contact for complaints. Initiates consultations with all stakeholders to discuss and resolve problems with schedules, quality and other services. Develops and negotiates acceptance of plans to resolve issues with authority to make adjustments to production dates and processes, to reflect changes in priorities, availability of resources, client needs, and corporate deadlines.
