**THE POSITION**
- The Medical Information Associate is responsible for ensuring the provision of accurate, factual, balanced, high-quality Medical Information for BI products in response to requests from healthcare professionals and patients as well as internal colleagues.
- Develop or adapt global standard response documents in correspondence with Canadian medical and regulatory context, and ensure their availability on the external MI website, if warranted.
- Research literature and develop customized responses to complex medical inquiries.
- Maintain adequate and updated pertinent medical and scientific information on BI's products and related therapeutic areas.
- In assigned therapy area(s), conduct the MLR review of material regarding BI's products and disease states for medical and scientific accuracy.
- Report adverse events and product complaints that arise from Medical Information interactions within required timelines.
- Conduct research and competitor analyses to support product launch initiatives.
- Assist Scientific Advisor in organizing and executing strategic initiatives, and appraising scientific data to create medical slides and tools.
- Support Medical Affairs colleagues with other special projects as warranted.
- Review new medical literature for relevant information and disseminate to internal colleagues.
- Support sales representatives with training on Medical Information activities.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide accurate, factual, balanced, high quality Medical Information for BI products to healthcare professionals, patients, as well as internal colleagues.

**Requirements**:

- Post secondary degree, preferably in pharmacy or life-sciences
- Excellent computer literacy, knowledge of principles of performing literature searches using online databases and information resources
- Good customer/client relations, organizational and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and independently
- Attention to detail is required
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
