We are currently looking for an experienced, pro-active, creative, and hard-working individual to act as our Grants & Reporting Development Coordinator to bolster and advance our efforts to support the empowerment and education of vulnerable children and youth around the world.

**Overview**: The Development Coordinator’s role centers around leading Canadian Humanitarian’s Fundraising and Development strategy, primarily through grant writing and reporting (including Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning), with a supporting role for other fundraising efforts. The Development Coordinator will occupy a leadership role within the organization and will be expected to also support general leadership tasks, challenges, and opportunities such as conflict resolution, problem solving, strategic planning and program design.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**
- Confidently able to raise and manage over $700,000 CAD in grants to support the operations of our overseas projects
- Lead grant writing strategy, and act as the primary grant writer for Canadian Humanitarian and its partners
- Oversee all active grants and ensure accountability to stated goals, reporting requirements, monitoring and evaluation etc.
- Design new projects based on emerging needs to present to foundations and grants
- Act as the main point of contact between Canadian Humanitarian and major donors and funding partners
- Manage and deepen relationships with existing Foundational partners
- Develop relationships with new Foundational partners
- Be willing, enthusiastic, and able to travel to country partners at least 4 times per year (each trip is. two-weeks in length minimum)
- Support and contribute to Canadian Humanitarian’s Communications Strategy
- Work in collaboration with our local and overseas partners
- Occupy a leadership position within the organization and support Canadian Humanitarian in achieving its mission and ensuring the creation of a positive, productive, and thriving workplace

**Required**:

- Proven experience writing and being awarded grants ranging from $25,000 - $250,000
- 3+ years’ experience in grant writing and/or fundraising
- Experience in Project Management
- Strong working knowledge of grant writing best practices and monitoring and evaluation
- English fluency

Canadian Humanitarian is an international charity which provides holistic empowerment and education opportunities to at-risk youth in Ethiopia and Guatemala living in poverty. In our partner countries we run comprehensive after-school centers and empowerment workshops.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
