There are few individual players left in the business productivity category who are truly capable of capturing significant market share. We’re one of them - with a strong foothold in the space, and funds raised of $100 million.


- Copper's marketing team is seeking a **Head of Marketing** for an eight-month maternity leave cover who has deep experience in marketing, with specific and demonstrable expertise in demand generation. You’ll own all marketing and go-to-market initiatives across the company, and lead a team of individual contributors and managers. You'll continue on a path of diversifying demand, while experimenting and optimizing to improve yield from existing channels. You must also be a great storyteller, represent the Copper's brand, and be passionate about the customer journey.

While this role is currently scoped for maternity leave cover, there may be opportunities to transition into a full-time role in the organization, based on performance.

**What you’ll do**
- Lead a team of marketers across demand generation, product and customer marketing, content, design and web development
- Deliver predictable pipeline at scale and create a dominant market position for CRMs designed to run on Google Workspace
- Develop and execute thematic launch plans for new product initiatives, working closely with product management, communications, engineering, design, support and sales
- Iterate on the value proposition for Copper and identify use cases that resonate with our customers to build compelling messaging and develop compelling narratives that tell the Copper story
- Coordinate user and competitive research, both qualitative and quantitative to better understand our users and competitive landscape and turn those results into actionable insights
- Act as a productive member of Copper’s senior leadership team, and contribute meaningful insights in discussions
- Partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, revenue operations and product to understand lead quality and drive further improvements

**What you’ll bring**
- 8-10 years of marketing experience in SaaS
- Leadership experience in a full-time or fractional capacity
- In-depth understanding of key metrics like conversion rates, win rates, cost per acquisition, LTV:CAC and ability to manage a budget as it pertains to a fully loaded cost of sales
- In-depth understanding of Google Ads, programmatic, other SEO/SEM and sponsorships
- Exceptional organization, prioritization and project management skills
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; need to be able to present to executives, good at delivering insights, ideas, results and feedback
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills; demonstrated capabilities executing end-to-end quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Self-starter who is has the ability to set strategy, build programs from scratch, but also can roll up your sleeves to get things done
- Demonstrated success managing and optimizing cross-channel campaigns for outcomes including user acquisition, lead gen, and retention or brand
- Driven to deliver constant improvement of key campaign metrics using build-measure-learn-iterate style feedback loops
