**Manager of Settlement Programming**

**6 Month Contract [vacation & benefits included]**

EFry Hope and Help for Women is dedicated to providing settlement and integration services to Ukrainian Women, Children and Seniors fleeing their homes during this time of crisis. In partnership with Our Place Peel, we will provide assistance and coordination of services to ensure a safe space, basic-needs provisions and guidance to settle into a temporary or permanent home within Canada.

The Manager of Settlement Programming will report to the Managing Director and work collaboratively with the Leadership Team in managing the day-to-day operations of the program. The Manager of Settlement Programming will ensure that programs operate and are administered in accordance with policies and procedures as mandated by diverse funding bodies, applicable legislation, and EFry Hope ad Help for Women policies and procedures. Furthermore, the Manager of Settlement Programming will be responsible for the guidance and supervision of front-line program staff, program coordinators, resource management, as well as ensuring that programming and service provision is relevant, meaningful, and provides effective support for the people accessing its’ services.

The Manager of Settlement Programming will lead a dynamic, fast-paced team as part of a 24-hour staffing model, with 8- hour shifts on rotation - this includes day, afternoon, and overnight shifts to support the staff team and the vulnerable women, children and seniors. Participation in 24/7 on call rotation is also required.

**Areas of Responsibility**:

- Build positive, respectful, and non-judgmental relationships with the newcomers and staff group
- Organize and direct the work activities and deliverables of front-line programming staff that are relevant to program goals, objectives, and Agency philosophy, policies and procedures
- Manage and adhere to fiscal budgets and consistently meets Agency deliverables and deadlines
- Provide written documentation as it pertains to legal, case managerial and client progression, including investigation of unusual occurrences and complaints in order to make recommendations to improve service delivery
- Oversee work schedules and allocation of employees to different duties and/ or shifts, leave requests and time
- keeping, ensure correct employee data, and accurate payroll records
- Meet with staff on a regular basis to collaboratively discuss all procedures, programs, community resources, and case management strategies
- Engage in regular supervision with program coordinators formally, or as required, to discuss skill development, goal planning and the provision of services
- In conjunction with the Managing Director and Human Resources, oversees recruitment and employee relations matters for staff, students, and/ or volunteers
- Compile and distribute statistics as assigned and required
- Provide on-going support for program development, enhancements, and modifications
- Coordinate and monitor training and orientation of new and existing staff
- Ensure that program coordinators and front-line staff adhere to policies and procedures
- Assist with case management support to program coordinators and front-line staff; encourage practices that incorporate anti-oppressive, strength-based, gender-responsive and trauma-informed practices
- Liaise and work collaboratively with internal and external partners and stakeholders in order to coordinate information and services
- Participate and assist in internal reviews, audits, and inspections of programs
- Ensures services comply with all relevant legislation, professional standards, funding contracts, and health and safety standards
- Perform the role of first on-call support person on a rotational basis in order to provide support and direction to staff on shift
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director and/ or Executive Director
- Social Service Worker, Child Youth Care, Community Justice Services Degree or Diploma, or other relevant education
- Experience working with vulnerable populations
- Demonstrated people management skills including mentoring, coaching, team building, training and development, and conflict resolution skills
- Confidence speaking, listening, and writing in a clear, confident, respectful, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
- Flexible, versatile, and/ or tolerant in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency; the ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, and cope effectively with complexity and change
- Demonstrated ability to provide case management to vulnerable population
- The ability to inspire, motivate, lead, provide direction, and act as a professional mentor to program coordinators, front
