**About this role**
We are recruiting for a **Purchaser** to join our Corporate Head Office in **Burnaby.** Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

**Your responsibilities**
- Maintain costs in material databases
- Issue purchase orders for project materials
- Collaborate with warehouse staff on inventory management database
- Track and report product quality
- Research and negotiate with suppliers and vendors
- Generate regular reports on procurement activities
- Assist all Estimators as necessary to obtain pricing for Estimates and Projects
- Assist with the development and training for our procurement systems
- Collaborate with Procurement team on strategies to reduce total inventory costs

**Your experience and skills**
- Post secondary education related to Purchasing or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 3 years experience as purchaser/buyer, preferably in the construction industry
- Electrical or Electronics training or experience considered an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience using JD Edwards an asset
- Able to negotiate and mitigate risk
- Strong communication skills and able to work with individuals in different areas of the company
