- What you will be doing?_
- _ Oversees the project progress activities ongoing on site and pay special attention to the complexity; documenting and coordinating field service reports supplied to you by the field service team (to be trained for Muraflex needs)_
- _Site supervision experience related to glazing, millwork products_
- _Tech savvy (excel, word, PDF report)_
- _Possessing an understanding of our product lines (granted through Muraflex virtual training) in order to offer technical field support to the on-site installers._
- _Orients, training if necessary, coaches, counseling, and communicates job expectations._
- _Manages sub-contractors by monitoring and controlling the job progress;_
- _Meets operational standards by contributing job site information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing productivity and quality;_
- _Accomplishes construction project results by respecting project scope;_
- _Conducting inspections at critical phases; and troubleshoots on site conditions with GC that may involve other trades that would affect our trade (rough carpentry, drywall, etc.)_
- _Attend site meetings to validate job site conditions and projected completion dates to achieve a successful installation._
- _Communicate with project managers, engineers, clients, regulatory authorities and any other stakeholders necessary to achieve the project scope._
- _Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures to ensure safe working conditions_
- _Take field dimensions using lasers and proper Muraflex procedures and protocols. (Muraflex will supply basic tools)_
- _Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments_
- _Travel as required to west coast, sometimes during off-work hours._
- _Punch list installers work and be proactive to resolve issues prior to client walk through._
- _Any other ad hoc tasks/responsibilities given by supervisor._
- The Field Supervisor-Maryland must have strong problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills, including accountability and attention to details._
- Do you have what it takes?_
- _ Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar position or related fields;_
- _Strong understanding of the interior construction of commercial buildings;_
- _Capability of reading technical drawings;_
- _Previous experience Architectural products, aluminum carpentry, wood costume cabinets, millwork, furniture design;_
- _Detail oriented, knowledge of using the table saw, planer, joiner, drill press, router, sanders and other hand tools and installation;_
- _High Driver - Ambitious, Results Orientated Go-getter. Self-Starter. Makes things happen;_
- _Must demonstrate leadership, spirit of initiative and a great motivation and excellent communication skills;_
- _A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally;_
- _Safety First Attitude;_
- _Safety equipment required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc;_
- _The ability to work independently with mínimal supervision;_
- _Must have valid driver’s license;_
- _The ability to travel to the site and off-site and be away from home for multiple days at a time if needed;_
- _Experience in working in remote locations, able to travel and willing to work overtime_
- _This position is based in Maryland, USA, however, the head office is in Montreal, Quebec._
