**Indigenous Internship Program**
The Indigenous Internship Program (IIP) is a 12-month paid internship program designed to provide recent Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) post-secondary graduates, with the opportunity to gain professional level work experience and a pathway through which they can build and develop transferable skills that can be used to gain sustained employment in their field of choice.
You must self-identify as an Indigenous person to be eligible for this program. The term Indigenous refers to individuals who identify as being descended from the original inhabitants (the first peoples) of what is now known as Canada. In this context, Indigenous people are First Nations, Métis and/or Inuit.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**:
**Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery (1 position at 222 Jarvis Street (6th Floor), Toronto, ON or 301 St. Paul Street (4th Floor), St. Catharine's, ON)**
Do you have strong analytical skills with a background in human resources? Are you a results-oriented, strategic thinker, who can provide sound advice and support on HR initiatives and issues? If so, consider this challenging role as Workforce Planning Intern with the Corporate Services Branch, Infrastructure Technology Services Division (ITS) with the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery.
The Workforce Planning Intern role will be expected to contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture, and to a collaborative team through the development and delivery of workforce strategies and projects, recruitment initiatives, learning and development programs and talent management. The role involves consulting with Human Resource (HR) partners to ensure alignment with HR policies and practices, as well as supporting obtaining approvals through tracking, monitoring, and conducting analysis of workforce data and analytics to support divisional priorities and objectives.

**Mandatory**:
- You must have graduated or will complete the requirements to graduate with a degree, diploma or post-graduate certificate from a recognized or legally authorized post-secondary institution in the last five years (May 2018-August 2023).
- You must self-identify as an Indigenous person. The term Indigenous refers to individuals who identify as being descended from the original inhabitants (the first peoples) of what is now known as Canada. In this context, Indigenous people are First Nations, Métis and/or Inuit.
- You must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

**Human Resources/Technical Knowledge**:
- You have knowledge of and ability to interpret human resources and labour relations policies, principles to support coordination of initiatives and provide project and logístical assistance.
- Ability to interpret legislation such as collective agreements, policies, and procedures related to HR Administration, learning and development and talent management.
- You have knowledge of and ability to interpret recruitment policies, principles and techniques.
- You have knowledge of Human Resources (HR) information systems and data bases to access the data and gather appropriate information for specific HR-related purposes and prepare various information summaries.
**Analytical and Organizational Skills**:
- You have the ability to conduct research and access information to support the division in preparing a range of reports on research findings as well as assist with the coordination of various initiatives, projects and issues with strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of tracking and data
