**SUMMARY OF FUNCTION**:
The Technical Services Director has a pivotal leadership role within our manufacturing organization, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the transition of a project from an accepted quote through to fully implemented and ready for production ensuring the highest levels of cost effectiveness, quality, and innovation. In addition, other projects (such as implementation of visioning systems and process optimization) and some elements of our IT system (cyber security 3rd party management) would fall under this department.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Developing and leading a multidisciplinary team that will have project management, and process improvement mandates.
- Assisting in identifying and troubleshoot technical issues,
- Implementing cyber security compliance requirements.

**ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS**:
Member of the Executive and Leadership Committees

Interacts with staff from all departments.

Will develop, hire and manage Project Management team.

**Key Relationships**: Engineering Department, Customers and Suppliers, Executive Team, and all Managers.

**Project management**
Leads project management functions with a focus on technical and operational efficiency. This involves ensuring alignment between customer specific requirements, project objectives and PreciKam’s technical capabilities. Allocating resources effectively, and monitoring project progress to meet performance and timeline expectations. They also ensure processes and all required documentation is in place before a project is handed over from development to Production phases. Ultimately, their leadership ensures successful project delivery, client satisfaction, and required company profit in the launch of new manufacturing operations. Additional company projects such as implementing a visioning strategy and system would fall under the project management aspect of this role.

**Project financials**
Drives project budgeting and estimating, crucial for accurate pricing before project completion. Will lead or cause to be lead cross department project groups that will analyze new project requirements, resource needs, and potential risks to develop comprehensive budgets and estimates. This involves collaborating with various departments to determine costs, timelines, and resource allocations. The Director ensures that estimates align with company objectives, client expectations, and industry standards. By monitoring budget adherence and refining estimating processes, they optimize resource utilization, mitigate financial risks, and enhance profitability. This oversight ensures competitive pricing, financial transparency, and effective resource management throughout project development. This team would expect to be involved in resolving issues pertaining to any in production devices that are falling below targeted benchmarks.

**Innovation**
Directs production automation implementation by working with appropriate production managers to set strategic management, fostering collaboration, and championing innovation. Oversees project execution, troubleshooting challenges, and measuring performance metrics, ensuring a successful integration of automation solutions into the regular course of manufacturing. Their leadership drives efficiency gains, cost savings, and competitive advantage in production operations.

**Process Development**
Ensure that in the product development stage all processes and documentation are prepared, validated, fit for purpose and use and is properly available prior to full production launch. This includes collaborating with the Training Manager, Assistant Manager Safety and secondary Operations, production and quality departments.

**SRED**
The oversight required by a Technical Services Director for Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SRED) involves managing the entire SRED process. This includes identifying eligible projects, coordinating with R&D teams to gather technical information, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and documentation requirements, and overseeing the preparation and submission of SRED claims. The Director also monitors the progress of SRED projects, assesses the impact on business objectives, and optimizes strategies to maximize tax incentives and returns. Their oversight ensures efficient utilization of resources, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and successful outcomes in SRED initiatives.

**Cybersecurity**
The oversight required by a Technical Services Director for Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) involves ensuring compliance with CMMC standards across the organization's technical infrastructure and operations. This includes overseeing the implementation of security controls, conducting risk assessments, and managing cybersecurity policies and procedures.
