IMCO is looking for a highly motivated Associate Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure Funds to join our team

The Associate Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure Funds will join the Infrastructure team during an exciting time of transformative change and growth across our $8.5B global infrastructure portfolio. Within Infrastructure, the Funds program focuses on building high-quality general partner relationships with premier global investors. This position provides an opportunity for an ambitious and intellectually curious investment professional to join an established investment program that is committed to supporting the clean energy transition. The Associate Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure Funds will assist in sourcing, structuring, and managing IMCO’s investments in Infrastructure funds. The role will involve due diligence of potential fund commitments, monitoring and analysis of portfolio performance, and execution of secondary acquisitions and dispositions of fund interests. The Associate Portfolio Manager has a strong understanding of the Infrastructure investing space and has a keen interest in building and sharing knowledge of innovative trends and opportunities across the team.

As a Member of Our Team, You Will be Responsible For:
- Screen and conduct due diligence on Infrastructure fund investments and secondaries opportunities- Interact with fund managers to conduct in-depth portfolio and asset-level underwriting and analysis- Assist with valuing and executing secondary dispositions- Perform quantitative and qualitative research and financial modeling / analysis on companies and assets across stages, industries, and geographies- Assist with preparing and presenting due diligence materials and investment committee memos- Develop opinions on investment opportunities that are grounded in fact and quantitative and qualitative analysis; communicate opinions clearly and in a compelling manner- Support negotiation of deal closing / structuring process- Monitor and analyze fund investment performance and prepare reporting as required- Maintain strong relationships with fund managers; plan and manage ongoing engagement- Maintain a strong understanding of the fund managers’ portfolios, identify innovative trends and opportunities for collaboration on direct investments- Assist with broader enterprise projects as required

What do you need to succeed?- 3-5 years of experience in investments (e.g., funds and/or secondaries and/or co-investments), investment banking, strategic consulting, or other relevant experience. Previous experience within the Infrastructure asset class is preferred.- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Commerce, Accounting/Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field- CFA designation (or working towards the designation) is considered an asset- Excellent quantitative skills, including financial modelling, analytical, and valuation skills to support the evaluation of investment opportunities- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues in a clear and compelling manner and present information effectively to stakeholder groups-
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and colleagues of all levels
