The goals of Growing Up Hope Society’s Family Togetherness Program are aimed at:
- Providing a culturally relevant program for connection and access to cultural events.
- Meeting individual family needs through tailored programming.
- Minimizing ACEs for children by providing a healthy and safe home environment with their parents.
- Long-term successful parenting that sees a reduction in return to care.
Growing Up Hope Society is looking for a f/t Residence Coordinator to share management of four residential facilities. Primarily based in Mission but with the flexibility to work in Abbotsford or Chilliwack as required. The Residence Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of residences, provides ongoing supervision of staff, report writing, overseeing of programming and other duties as required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Works collaboratively with the team to create client care plans, provides leadership, guidance and mentoring to staff, families and youth. You will report directly to the directors.
2. Schedules, supervises and evaluates senior staff, residential staff, monitors daily operations, identifies professional development needs, assists in recruitment, and training on policy, procedure and reporting.
3. Ensure standards are met and maintained in the house in regards to maintenance, procedure and quality of care.
4. Attend case conferences, health related appointments, school appointments or other care related meetings, and prepare related documents and reports, as needed.
5. Liaises with the community, families, professionals, organizations, staff and promotes community involvement in the program. Ensures cultural care plans are adhered to and youth have access to cultural programs.
6. Work directly with families to provide support, guidance and quality of care during visits in the community, in residence or at the family home, assist with planning and implementation of transitions home.
7. Ensures the cleanliness, safety, security and maintenance of the residence in accordance with licensing standards directly or through delegation to staff.
8. Residence Coordinator also has job duties as a Residence Worker performing direct care duties as required, working directly with residents in care as well as administrative duties as listed above
9. Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education & Knowledge Diploma or Degree in a related in human / social service field, equivalent combination of education, experience and training will be evaluated
Training / Experience: _Three (3) years recent related experience, including one (1) year supervisory or administrative experience_.
Other Hiring Requirements: Non-violent crisis intervention training; Class 5 BC Drivers License; Clean Driver's Abstract; Emergency First Aid & CPR; Clear Criminal Record Check
**Preference will be given to those with previous HUB clearance**

**Experience**:
- supportive care: 3 year (preferred)
- education in related field: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence AND insured vehicle (required)
- First Aid Certification (required)

Pay: $32.51-$35.77 per hour
