The Brokerage Operations team processes entries and updates requests by clients, interdepartmental requests and those by various regulatory groups in a timely manner. We’re looking for our next Analyst, Corporate Actions. Could It Be You?

The purpose of the Analyst is to mitigate financial, regulatory and reputational risks by ensuring the SLA and regulatory compliance of third party clearing operations services and in-house processes. They work collaboratively to foster productive and positive relationships for the benefit of Questrade’s clients and overall business operations.

What’s it like working as an Analyst, Corporate Actions at Questrade?

The Analyst is responsible for supervising the daily activities within Questrade’s clearing operations department. The position monitors, audits and measures in-house processes and third party services against SLA’s and regulatory obligations, then reports on the results.

They act as the first and primary point of contact for third party administrative and supervisory employees.

They foster positive and productive relationships internally and with third parties, and they work collaboratively with all parties to effectively resolve issues.

Re-org department
- Establish and foster positive and productive relationships with third party service provider - Broadridge and transfer agents
- Provide reorg event information for Risk Department and Trade Desk
- Process physical certificate for plan of arrangement and re-org
- Process FX requests
- Check mandatory event payments that are paid every day
- Point of contact for mandatory and voluntary claims on share following short position
- Assist the ATG team with conversion of securities
- Book cheques for GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate) maturity
- Provide proxy related information as requested by CSS
- Review any corporate action mail to ensure notices have been mailed to clients
- Review pushout events
- Completes Re-org daily check-in form
- Other ad-hoc reorg related tasks

✔ 1- 3 years of relevant work experience, ideally in corporate actions

✔ Experience working in a clearing operations or back office department

✔ Sound knowledge in one or more clearing operations functional areas is an asset

✔ An understanding of regulatory requirements

✔ Excellent communication skills

✔ Proven analytical and reconciliation skills and experience

Brownie Points if you have

**✔ CSI course completion, including**: CSC, CPH exam is an asset

✔ Experience using BPS
