Breck specializes in major projects at heavy industrial plants and is experienced in long-term maintenance, boiler inspections, shutdowns, expansions, and upgrading. Breck’s head office is in Saskatoon and currently provides services across Saskatchewan and Ontario.

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and assist in the preparation of estimates/proposals for construction projects.
- Gathering and reviewing requirements for estimate submissions as well as setting priorities for all stakeholders.
- Attend site meetings, review plans, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work.
- Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to source and obtain competitive pricing.
- Attend pre-bid meetings as required.
- Determine work required via tender items and defined provisions or specifications.
- Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with schedules, budgets, quality control standards and specifications.
- Present prepared estimates, documents, and contracts including costs and risks to all teams involved.
- Prepare finalized documents for submission of estimates/proposals.
- Review selected subcontractors and suppliers with the Trade Leads and Project Management team prior to sending PO’s and subcontracts.
- Assist with reporting and monitoring, planning and scheduling of projects when required.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant university degree or post-secondary diploma.
- Previous experience as an estimator or in the construction field or other related field.
- High level negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management and established procedures for tracking time sensitive tasks.
- High level of mathematical and analytical skills an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong ability to work with others to ensure that the desired results are achieved.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Projects; knowledge of Primavera P6 is an asset.
