**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Reporting to and working closely with a Management Team, the bookkeeper will be responsible for the implementation of all bookkeeping processes for the Aral Group of companies whose operations include Commercial Construction, Property Development, Equipment Rentals, and Oil & Gas Production. Each company within the group operates independently, however all companies collaborate to maximize productivity and efficiency.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- implementation (including data entry) of all bookkeeping processes, including (but not limited to): payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations
- preparation of government remittances including source deductions, GST, PST, Worksafe BC, Employer Health Tax and corporate tax instalments
- preparation of internal financial reports for review by management, as well as regular internal reporting to project managers
- assist with preparation of annual financial statements and liaison with external accountants
**SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- minimum Associate degree or relevant certificate in Accounting; Bachelors in Accounting ideal
- minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
- demonstrated SAGE 50 Accounting skills
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- industry experience is an asset

- Hourly wage range $24-$27
