**Seniors and Caregivers Activity Coordinator - Hybrid position, flexible location in Les Pays-d’en-Haut or Les Laurentides, Quebec.**

4Korners is a registered Canadian charitable community-based organization founded in 2005. We connect with English-speaking individuals of the Laurentians with programs and services to meet their identified needs in a secure and inclusive environment. We work collectively to serve and enrich the lives of communities in the Laurentians region. 4Korners offers a wide range of programs that focus on healthy lifestyles, mental health, foster creativity, and provide support for youth, families, individuals, seniors, and caregivers.

During the past years, 4Korners has expanded with new programs throughout the Laurentians. Along with our Head Office in Deux-Montagnes, we run an Activity Centre in Deux-Montagnes and have four satellite offices in the region with multiple services in many small towns.

With a unique and ambitious mandate covering a large territory, we are looking for a passionate professional **Seniors and Caregivers Activity Coordinator **to join our team. The Seniors and Caregivers activity coordinator will be responsible for working in collaboration with community and partners to facilitate access to seniors’ activities, projects, and programs, as well as provide support and create links to community resources for the English-speaking community in the MRC of Les Pays-d’en-Haut and Les Laurentides. They will also work closely with community to identify and relay the needs of seniors and caregivers to different stakeholders, while representing 4Korners at various tables or committees in the Laurentians.

As a hybrid position, work will be required at the office of assignment, in community spaces, tables and committees in the MRC Pays-d’en-Haut and Les Laurentides, and virtually.

**OBJECTIVE**

To arrange, coordinate and deliver activities, programs and services that support the needs of seniors and caregivers.

**RESPONSIBILTIES**

**Seniors Wellness Centre Activities - 70% of hours**
- Coordinate and facilitate virtual and in-person activities for seniors in Pays-d’en-Haut and Les Laurentides as described in the funder workplan.
- Support seniors as needed, or by connecting them with relevant resources.
- Develop 4Korners visibility as a resource centre for the English-speaking community.
- Participate in the development of detailed project plans for activities.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation on different aspects of the project scope and objectives, milestones, tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate, supervise and support interns and volunteers.

**Networking & Partnership Initiative Outreach: 20% hours**
- Represent the English-speaking community and 4Korners on tables and committees (_i.e., Table de troisième âge, Comité proche aidants, Comité abus_).
- Represent 4Korners with a kiosk and at events prioritized by 4Korners.
- Create and equip partners with knowledge, information and support while working collaboratively with them in making improvements.
- Respond and direct the community to resources, referring them to other team members or partners, as appropriate.

**General Administration: 10% hours**
- Participate in mandatory training and team meetings.
- Ensure that all required reporting is tracked and submitted by deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with the 4Korners team.
- Support the Executive Director and the Seniors & Caregivers Program Manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- A college or bachelor’s degree in health, social services or education, **AND/OR **relevant years of experience in working with seniors, caregivers, and supporting services in the community.
- Experience working with older adults and their families from a community proximity model.
- Experience developing, running, and facilitating workshops and presentations.

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS (mandatory)**
- Ability to communicate fluently in English. Working proficiency in French.
- Excellent assessment, communication, case management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build rapport and engage with seniors, families, and caregivers.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate volunteers / interns.
- Excellent skills in risk, crisis, conflict management and decision-making skills.
- Active listening, respect, and discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural, diverse, multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Must have a car and be willing to drive.

**OTHER KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS (assets for the role)**
- Experience in health and social services OR working with community-based organizations.
- Experience working in the non-profit sector including all aspects of project management, volunteer management, or reporting to funders.
- First Aid and CPR training.
