**Role Overview**:

- Conducting various due diligence searches in jurisdictions across Canada including, but not limited to, corporate profiles, personal property security, insolvency, litigation, and Bank Act.
- Providing analysis of search results and identifying deficiencies to assist the firm’s financial services transactions.
- Providing general assistance in support of commercial lending transactions, as required.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of lending and/or due diligence search experience in a law firm.
- Law Clerk certification from an accredited institute or commensurate experience.
- Strong working knowledge of standard software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) including the ability to effectively manage the expectations of clients, all levels of lawyers and legal professionals in a professional manner.
- Excellent time management skills and prioritization skills in managing multiple projects, competing priorities, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills applied in developing and recommending practical and informed solutions in an effective and efficient manner.
- Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Knowledge of the corporate procedures, statutes and regulations relating to corporate formation, filings and the _Personal Property Security Act_.
