PHASOR Engineering Inc. is a dynamic consulting firm specializing in the engineering and design of overhead & underground transmission/distribution systems, substations, fibre optics, as well as substation and transmission foundations. Our expertise allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated **Design Coordinator** to join our Toronto engineering team. We offer a dynamic work environment with an extremely experienced technical team, where you will be fully involved in all aspects of the engineering and design process.

**Responsibilities**:
Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

- Creating a project folder at the beginning of each job and tracking and monitoring all stages project documentation for successful and timely design closeout submission
- Green Construction Folder Creation.
- Prepare Bill of Materials and estimates for UG/OH and civil projects.
- Coordinate with the City of Toronto prior to commencing a project; to present scope of work with an official from the City of Toronto, to obtain all necessary permits.
- Interact with internal / external contacts as necessary for design details.
- Prepare and/or review construction packages, including all required drawings, work instructions, planning documentation, operating systems, and regulatory approvals, where required.
- Provide procurement support, material take-offs, requisitions, and technical evaluations.
- Aid in the preparation of design packages for client reviews and construction.
- Completes assigned work while adapting to changing volumes and pace of work.
- Cooperative with supervisors and reports and interacts collaboratively and effectively with others.
- General knowledge of overhead and underground utility design
- Support project co-ordination documentation and activities.
- Completes work in a timely and efficient manner, be able to work well independently with little supervision and attends work punctually.
- Assemble and verify bills of materials and cost estimate (being familiar with SAP is an asset)

Qualifications:

- Completion of a 4-year program for Administrative Assistant, Business Administration or Engineering discipline required.
- A minimum of three (2) years of experience as a Coordinator in a construction environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Exceptional attention to detail with an ability to balance conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a professional appearance and demeanor
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, self-sufficient, discreet, and good sense of team spirit
