St. John’s Senior School is seeking a qualified and experienced Content and Communications Manager to join the Advancement team. This is a full-time permanent position.

**Overview**:
Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing, the Content and Communications Manager is responsible for creating, distributing, and analyzing content across the school’s various media touchpoints that support our marketing strategy, mission and vision.

Your content will help demonstrate the achievements, passion and expertise that are experienced daily at SJS. You will be in the midst of classes, activities and events at the school documenting how the community and programmes are fulfilling the school’s mission.

Your content will be deployed both inside the organization to your colleagues and SJS families and also externally to prospective families or interested parties.

**Position Summary and Mandate**:
The Content and Communications Manager will create and deploy inspiring content that targets our various constituents, including but not limited to current parents, prospective parents, donors, alumni, grandparents and past parents.

The position will focus on:

- Bringing to life the school’s key messages to position the school appropriately for prospective families.
- Providing informational and inspiring updates for the schools existing community.
- Promoting the school’s fundraising programme - annual giving, capital campaign and endowment - to secure and maintain philanthropic support.

**What you will be doing**
- Manage our content marketing strategy; ensuring our messaging supports our objectives.
- Develop and project manage story-driven marketing content that raises awareness of our school and promotes our key messages.
- Work closely with our school Graphic Designer/Photographer and any outside vendors required to create and deploy content for the school website, social media channels, media relations and marketing campaigns.
- Keep the team up-to-date with the latest trends in content marketing and communications.
- Create and edit internal communication materials that are distributed to our current community. This includes a weekly newsletter, digital screen content, invitations, internal school web portal and letters to our community.
- Maintain our community distribution lists, respond to website inquires and troubleshoots issues as they arise.
- Facilitate a consistent brand look and feel with academic initiatives - programmes, catalogues, and posters.

**Experience and Skills Required**
- The ability to effectively work and communicate cross-functionally within multiple teams and build relationships with key constituents and stakeholders.
- Proven success in creating storylines used for generating content for social media, media relations, blogs and video.
- Proven project management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to be driven by creative intuition but also to use data to test and prove your gut instincts and to course-correct.
- The ability to report results and optimize using analytics.
- Experience with video production and photography is a bonus.
- Experience working in the education industry is also valued.
- At times, this role will require working hours outside of school office hours: evening events; occasionally going offsite to document student programmes; and occasional morning and weekend commitments.
