**Responsibilities**:
The Chief Proctor will work with the HBA Program Services team, proctors and IT Services to administer exams across both HBA1 and HBA2 - undergraduate program at the Ivey Business School. Exams will include both written and secure computer-based exams. The incumbent will oversee the entire exam process and will have various responsibilities in partnership with the HBA Exam Coordinator in preparing for each exam period. These responsibilities can include: preparing exam documentation for presentation to the students in each exam room, preparing seating plans and/or tracking documentation for each exam room. On the examination day, Chief Proctors are responsible for communicating exam information to each proctor on staff and staying in regular contact with proctors on any questions or issues arising in the exam room.

Chief Proctors will communicate regularly with the HBA Program Services staff and IT Services staff on anything that needs attention or escalation in the exam room. Chief Proctors will do periodic checks of exam rooms, assist with proctor breaks and monitor student activity in the building during the exam.

After exam completion, Chief Proctors are responsible for ensuring proctors have completed all relevant exam documentation. Compiled all exams for distribution to faculty and accurately assessed that all exams have been collected.

Ivey exams run from 2 - 4 hours in length with set up time pre-exam and collection time post exam. Proctors will be asked to use a laptop to communicate with all proctors, IT Services and HBA Program Services staff.

Chief proctors are expected to be available during the Ivey exam periods. Exams occur for approximately 1.5 weeks in the months of October, December, February and March/April. Proctor hours are scheduled based on availability. No set number of hours is guaranteed. Annual training takes place in the month of September.

Please note, the Chief Proctor may be asked to assist in the MSc, and MBA departments, as well.

**Qualifications Education**:

- No Degree, Diploma or Professional Designation Required

**Experience**:

- 2-3 years' experience providing customer service

- Ability to employ a systematic and efficient approach to work

- Ability to address concerns with proctors and I or students in a tactful and diplomatic manner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a manner that models best practices in confidentiality
- Ability to respond promptly to any issues in the exam room and knowing when to escalate for further decision and response.
- Ability to identify and escalate issues of academic integrity concern in a prompt manner
- Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude with genuine demonstration of good service skills
- Possess general computer skills with the ability and willingness to learn and use software programs
