In-House opportunity with FCT, in Oakville, working in the areas of:

- Corporate Commercial Law
- Intellectual Property Law
- Real Estate Law
- Insurance Regulatory Law

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

- Conduct and prepare research memos
- Provide support to all areas within the legal department including corporate, regulatory compliance, and employment law, contracts, strategy, underwriting and fraud
- Attend and participate in department meetings
- Assist in contract preparation and negotiation
- Draft documents and conduct document reviews/production
- Assist with contract negotiations, drafting amendments
- Assist in contract management and the creation of templates
- Update relevant legislation
- Perform general administrative tasks

- Be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Be a self-starter, proactive and the ability to take initiative with sound business acumen
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have strong organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- Have a results-oriented focus, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage several projects simultaneously
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit with the motivation to find new ways to improve existing processes
