**The opportunity**:
The University of Manitoba is looking for a Human Resources Associate. This position will primarily be responsible for processing and verifying forms as well as entering the forms in the HRIS system. The HR Associate will also assist employees and applicants with navigation and technical issues relating to the HRIS systems.

This is a 6-month term position.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- Completion of a training program in a related discipline is required.
- Minimum one year of general office experience required, preferably in a human resources department in a unionized environment.
- Client support/customer service experience essential.
- Experience with, and/or knowledge of VIP or similar HRIS (human resource information system) strongly preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Strong analytical skills for form analysis essential.
- Ability to pay strict attention to detail essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize as well as the ability to deal with multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
- Strong mathematical skills required to calculate complex pay adjustments.
