**What is the role?**
Join LEA’s Transportation Practice area as a Project Coordinator and collaborate with an elite team of Transportation Engineers and Planners to deliver a variety of Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering projects for the public and private sectors. This role would allow for the gradual advancement from project coordination tasks to managing projects fully as a Project Manager. **In this role, your duties and responsibilities will include**:
- Work under the guidance of a Project Manager and collaborate with Transportation Engineers, Planners, and Designers to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
- Support a variety of Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering project teams to develop a project timeline, create schedules, and oversee progress to make sure deliverables are met on time.
- Support the delivery of technical projects, including design-related, planning-related, and analysis-related tasks.
- Monitor and track the progress of the project work, including resources, schedules and budget to make sure the project is running smoothly and efficiently and to support the preparation of status reports.
- Liaise with other project disciplines, sub-consultants, stakeholders and parties where applicable in coordinating technical aspects of the project work.
- Ensure adherence to quality control and quality assurance measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Represent LEA in project meetings.
- Assist in the preparation of transportation-related proposals and participate in the preparation and presentation of the technical report to the clients.
- Continuously enhance professional skills and knowledge through training, seminars, workshops, and involvement in professional associations to stay updated on industry trends, software, and technology.
- Manage other relevant assignments within the scope of the Transportation practice area.
**The qualifications you need**:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or planning, with 3-4 years of experience with at least one year as a Project Coordinator in the field of Transportation Engineering/Planning.
- Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and working towards professional engineering licensure (P.Eng.), with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) with Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) or working towards it.
- Good knowledge of transportation engineering principles and jurisdictional design guidelines (e.g. TAC, MTO, OPSD, AODA), as well as provincial and municipality design standards.
