Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Co-ordinator plays an important role in the financial operations of the company by managing and maintaining accurate records, monitoring accounts, and performing analysis as directed. This position will support the implementation of new core processes across the organization with exposure to lean business practices and new technology in a rapidly growing firm.

A successful Finance Co-ordinator must be self-motivated, agile, and committed to ongoing growth and development. Attention to detail is essential in all tasks for this role. You must be naturally curious with a desire to get the full picture and investigate issues as they arise. Innovation is a priority at Canadian Metal Buildings with all employees expected to work collaboratively, bringing fresh perspectives to the group.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Post, review and reconcile transactions in multiple integrated financial platforms with a focus on accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Perform analysis and generate ad hoc reports as requested.
- Provide support to Finance Manager in various projects and department initiatives.
- Communicate professionally and effectively across teams, with customers and vendors.
- Understand and track contract terms and details.
- Work with internal stakeholders to track inventory and wip.
- Organize and maintain documentation in paper and digital filing systems.

**Skills & Competencies**
- 5+ years in accounting roles, including, but not limited to Accounts Receivable, Collections, Accounts Payable.
- Advanced Certification in QuickBooks Online
- Well versed in mainframe accounting software programs, such as Sage products.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
- Motivated, able to take direction, work independently and seek support for clarification.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance expectations
- Open to new ideas and eager to take on a challenge.

**Technology**
- Advanced Certification in QuickBooks Online
- Advanced use of Microsoft Word & Excel and/or Google Docs & Sheets
- Experience or eagerness to master Google Forms and Workspace extensions.
- Exposure to integrated CRM and expense tracking apps - Hubdoc, Dext, Monday
- Exposure to banking and electronic payment platforms - Plooto, PayEdge, Square
- Exposure to ERP/MRP platforms - Strumis

**Hours and Location**

40 hours per week, role located in Stoney Creek, Ontario

Days - core office hours

**Salary/Benefits**
