**Brief Overview**:
Under the direction of the Administration Manger, the Records Classification and Retention Coordinator will work with consultants to enhance MN-S’s records classification and retention schedule and implement processes to manage MN-S records more efficiently and effectively throughout the records lifecycle.

You are:

- A people-oriented person who enjoys translating records management concepts in easy-to-understand language;
- Interested to transform MN-S’s records management and improve the overall experience within MN-S in creating and managing records; and
- Able to work in a collaborative work environment involving partners with different records management requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist ministries, internal services, and other government bodies within MN-S in documenting their existing records classification system and records retention requirements, so that they can be integrated into MN-S’s records information management system
- Gather and analyze any additional information needed to support external consultants in the development of an enhanced records classification and retention schedule for MN-S.
- Assist ministries, internal services, and other government bodies in implementing the new MN-S records classification and retention schedule, once completed by external consultants, and approved by MN-S.
- Assist external consultants in the development of user materials and the provision of training sessions related to records classification and retention.
- Other duties as assigned by the Systems Support Supervisor.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by completion of a certificate in program in records management and related experience; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel, and PowerPoint.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Knowledge of Métis culture
- Ability to implement records classification, retention, and disposal scheduling plans.
- Ability to maintain access lists for security classified records.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle is required.
- Ability to communicate in Indigenous languages is an asset.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access reliable transportation
- Must undergo a Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,730.00 per year
