**Position Summary**: The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing event spaces and ensuring that our guests have a positive and memorable experience. They will be responsible for consistently delivering “best in class” customer experiences, and through multiple communication avenues, they will ensure each guest receives sincere, timely, and professional service that results in an overall positive experience. The Banquet Manager will oversee the Events Teams that are responsible for working each event and will use creativity, organizational skills and vision to assist the business in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing client relations and improving our growth through successful events.

**Essential Job Functions**:

- **Event Planning & Management**_
- Oversees all day of event operations ensuring exceptional service for the duration of the event
- Assists event team as needed in all areas including but not limited to: bartending, serving, cleaning, set up, and tear down IF necessary
- Takes ownership of the event spaces. Ensuring all areas are organized with efficiency and safety in mind, recognizing opportunities to improve event operations
- Able to work a flexible schedule as needed based on day/time of events and their specific requirements
- Function site tours with new inquiries, showing prospective clients the space, detailing cost, and going over any questions visitors may have.
- Oversee function room set up
- Continuous and efficient communication during the event with servers, bartenders, kitchen, third party vendors, etc. to ensure timely execution of all events.
- Responds to patron complaints during events, ensuring resolution of issues that arise as well as escalating concerns to the Guest & Service Operations Manager.
- Responsible for event cash reconciliation and gratuity distribution
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations and company standards while also making sure others are following suit.
- **Managing Event Logistics and Operations**:_
- Ensures that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, and ensuring accuracy.
- Coordinate and execute all aspects of event arrangements necessary to ensure client objectives and expectations are met including working with clients.
- Observes and coaches service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to individuals and/or managers.
- Assists in the training and development of Event Team.
- Assists in the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
- Assists in the development of service procedures, checklists, and other guided tools needed.
- Maintains Liquor/Keg inventory (weekly/monthly) and regularly inventoried items to ensure the maintenance of IV Loft costs and belongings.

- Working knowledge of WHMIS legislation or willing to obtain
- **Education and Experience**_ (Include any certificates, licenses, registrations that may be required)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of One (2) years’ experience in a events management with a focus on exemplary customer service.
- Smart Serve Certified (required)
- Formal beer education, Prud’homme or Cicerone (in progress) would be an asset.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:

- Events Coordinator & Events Team for specific events.

**Salary**: $45,000.00 per year
