Job Title: Accounting Assistant

**Duties**:

- Accurate processing of accounts payable invoices into ERP system.
- Prepare and enter accounts receivable invoices.
- Prepare journal entries when required.
- Oversee and maintain credit card statements.
- Review general ledger accounts regularly to identify discrepancies or errors.
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts such as cash, receivables, inventory, payables, and liability.
- Assist in retrieving and coding invoices from Buildertrend purchasing program.
- Assist in bi-weekly preparation and processing of payroll.
- Assist purchasing and administration department as required.
- Undertake projects assigned by management team.

**Experience**:

- Experience working in accounting and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- The ability to act responsibly, confidentially, and ethically working with sensitive financial information.
- Computer literacy, preferably with Google Suite, Microsoft Office and ERP software.
- Strong people skills - a polite and professional demeanor.
- Solid communication skills, with proficiency in speaking and writing English.
- Ability to problem solve and think through solutions.
- Work well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
