**Term of Employment**:September 3 - April 30, 2025 (Approximate Dates)

This role will support the organization in its Financial Services. Using your finance and accounting knowledge and skills, you will:

- Assist the accounting team on financial matters;
- Assist the accounting team with special projects;
- Support accounting clerks in performing analysis and research;
- Assist in collecting and compiling data for grant programs, budget, and statutory reporting requirements;
- Assist with general administration of work orders, petty cash, performance deposits and office supplies;
- Support accounting clerks in preparation of GST/HST returns, bank reconciliations and bank deposits;
- Assist in preparing correspondence and maintaining filing systems of the Finance Department; and
- Perform other related duties as required.

**Required Training and Experience**
- Preference will be given to students enrolled in an accredited college or university program in a finance, accounting or business management program or related field of study.

**Work Environment**
- Works at Municipal Hall
- Long hours in sitting position
- Exposure to standard office equipment and computer

**Required Abilities, Technical Skills and Knowledge**
- Basic skills to operate all general office equipment;
- Intermediate skills to operate Microsoft Office and any other business software used by the District, including intermediate Excel and Word skills;
- Excellent attention to detail and math skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet set deadlines
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
