**What you can expect to do here**:

- You will conduct laboratory testing for aggregate, concrete and other construction materials as required.
- You will participate in relevant proficiency tests and maintain all required certifications for the laboratory.
- You will perform certified testing in an efficient and precise manner.
- You will complete data gathering and interpretation including data entry of test results to produce a final and accurate report suitable for review and distribution.
- You will be responsible for maintaining equipment calibration, maintenance, and general housekeeping requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
- You will participate in quality audits and identify, investigate & report non-conformances to the Lab Lead.
- You will be responsible for shipping, receiving, logging, handling, storage, and disposal of samples
- You will assist with ordering and restocking of laboratory supplies as required.

**What you’ll bring to WSP**:

- Successful completion of post-secondary technical education in Civil Engineering/Technology or related discipline.
- Sound knowledge of soil and aggregates laboratory and relevant standardized lab testing procedures (MTO, ASTM, AASHTO).
- Experience with field materials testing of construction materials including, but not limited to: soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt materials.
- Certification with the Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories (CCIL Type C and D) preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, with a strong understanding of relevant testing standards and procedures.
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
- Bilingualism (French and English) preferred
- Must be eligible for Federal Government Enhanced Reliabiilty security clearance ( _individual must have 5 full years of verifiable, concurrent and recent history in Canada, USA, UK, New Zealand and/or Australia _).
